The Interlinx Logo
 |
The logo is a modified Japanese family crest
or “mon,” which began as a means of identification on the
battlefield around the 12th century. Much like the European
coat of arms, the Japanese mon later came to represent
familial associations. The Koyama family crest is a stylized
flower representation of the wood sorrel. This design
element, favored by the warrior class, depicts a sword blade
between and at the base of each petal, representing beauty,
strength, bravery, and, in today’s terms, the cutting edge. |
The partial hexagonal links are reminiscent of the six-sided
tortoise shell which is associated with the god of the north in
Japan. The links hold the flowers together, making for a visual
representation of the Interlinx motto:
Linking Companies to their Customers
