Zimmerman, President of Interlinx Associates, has had over thirteen
years of experience in the CRM arena as both a customer and as a
principal consultant and project manager implementing CRM systems in
companies like Anheuser Busch, Donaldson Companies, Sprint PCS,
Anderson Windows, ConAgra, and Federated Insurance.
Scot has a background in electrical engineering and
has worked at Hughes Aircraft, Honeywell, and MTS Systems. After
receiving his MBA from the Carlson School of Management in
Minneapolis, Scot moved from the technical side of the business to
the sales and marketing area, where he traveled internationally to
roll out new products, and established a catalog division within his
business unit. The first catalog mailing increased sales over
$900,000 in six months.
He ran the operations for the catalog division for four
years, during which time he introduced the company to its first
customer relationship management system, installed and operational
in three short months. The system ended up reducing costs in the
center by 20%.
Using the CRM software in the catalog business made Scot realize
his true passion lay in the Customer Relationship Management realm.
He wanted to spread the word about the benefits of CRM, and the
power of the technology tools that were becoming available. Scot
transitioned from the client side to the vendor side, and has worked
with CRM software companies since 1996 as a principal consultant
implementing CRM projects and as a sales engineer, developing and
presenting solutions.
The natural next step for Scot has been to establish Interlinx
Associates, LLC and partner with the leader in the industry,
Interact Commerce Corporation. As a partner, Scot has access to two
of the leading CRM tools on the market—ACT! by Sage Contact
Management Software, and the Sage CRM SalesLogix suite of CRM
products. Scot is a Sage CRM SalesLogix Certified Engineer and
Trainer. He is also an ACT! by Sage Certified Consultant.
His partner, Elaine Koyama,
focuses on sales and marketing and business process.
Scot is known in the industry for his intuitive feel for software,
his grasp of business process, and his problem solving skills.
